Part 12/16:
Beyond FSD, Tesla is aggressively ramping its AI-powered robot production. The company aims to produce thousands of Optimus robots by year-end, with production capacity increasing month-to-month—currently at about 1,000 per month. The upcoming third-generation production line could multiply output tenfold, facilitating the deployment of Tesla's humanoid robots for various tasks.
Tesla’s hardware development continues as well. Neural nets for robots are substantially larger than those for vehicles, and innovations like Dojo 2 and Dojo 3 aim to dramatically boost processing power. Tesla’s goal is to self-sufficiently improve AI performance while reducing reliance on expensive chips, unlocking significant cost savings.
