The rumored price point of $37,500 (before incentives) in North America is noteworthy because current Tesla models, although cheaper than previously, still hover around $42,500. Reducing weight and size could enable Tesla to push the price even lower, potentially undercutting the current Model 3 significantly—a strategic move to dominate entry-level EV segments.
Further, Tesla seems to be intentionally creating confusion or anticipation with pricing strategies, possibly to keep current customer demand high while preparing the market for these new offerings.
