During the test, a passenger, Omar, drove the vehicle from Los Angeles to Silicon Valley, covering over 5 hours on highway and city roads, even in rainy conditions, without active human control. This demonstrated Tesla’s rapidly advancing capabilities, with Musk emphasizing that autonomous driving is still on track for widespread deployment in Austin by June and across many U.S. cities by year's end.
