Looking into the future, the speakers agree that individual ownership of traditional, non-autonomous vehicles will diminish dramatically. While some used vehicles may still exist for enthusiast purposes or niche applications, automakers will likely produce predominantly autonomous models. The current industrial infrastructure—factories and production lines—will need to adapt and evolve to meet this new demand. In this future, the industry may struggle to justify manufacturing small volumes of non-autonomous vehicles, rendering them virtually extinct.
