Part 5/10:
A critical observation about the underlying ground emerges—there is a significant rock bed covering solid clay, which could hamper drainage. The builder considers removing excess rock to prevent water pooling inside the structure. Plans include extending the concrete pad at an angle to improve runoff, but all such work hinges on completing the external shell first.
Transitioning from a Gym to a Living Space
While initially undertaking the project to set up a new gym, the vision has evolved. The builder envisions a comfortable lounge area with a sofa and large TV, where both the builder’s pets, Lily and Roer, can relax and enjoy homely comfort. Exercise equipment will be relocated under the carport, freeing up space and allowing the new room to serve as a cozy den.
