While progress is impressive, Musk candidly discussed the existing technical hurdles:
Charge duration: The current device lasts about 4-5 hours on a charge, requiring more battery life for all-day use. Future iterations will aim for 8-16 hours of continuous operation.
Wireless charging and user independence: Emphasizing the importance of enabling users—especially those with paralysis—to recharge devices independently, such as via wearable chargers integrated into clothing or accessories.
Device scalability: The team plans to increase channels from the current 64 to eventually 3,000 or more, substantially improving bandwidth and control fidelity.
