Part 6/10:
A critical part of ongoing land maintenance is the removal of dead or dying trees, especially those that have been damaged during the recent fires. An oak that was injured during a fire, with a large section threatening to fall, is slated for removal. The same goes for several dead pines and other weak trees scattered throughout the property, all of which could cause injury or damage if left unchecked.
The goal is to open the area for healthier growth and reduce the risk of unexpected tree falls. Plans are underway to fell a large pine, with an understanding that this will be an easier task due to the limited limbs on the target tree. This careful thinning process signifies a proactive approach to land stewardship, ensuring safety and healthier future growth.
