Part 8/13:
Ross Gerber recently demonstrated a full FSD drive, showcasing mostly smooth operation but with one notable misstep. A clip circulating on Twitter, which has garnered over 4 million views, depicts a situation where the vehicle approached a stop sign but seemed to behave unexpectedly.
Upon examining the footage, it appeared that Tesla’s FSD system did detect the stop sign, indicated by visual cues like a brief glimpse of "auto stop" or similar text on the interface. The vehicle’s speed reduction—set at 35 mph—suggested that the system was engaged and preparing to act, though the precise moment of deceleration remains ambiguous. Tesla's continued updates to their FSD visualization and detection algorithms aim to address such concerns.
