Part 3/8:
Switching focus to the garden, the narrator announces plans to harvest before the cold weather sets in. Upon inspecting the plants, a surprise discovery of two peppers hanging off the side of the plants is made—a reminder of how easily ripe produce can be missed. The gardener plans to gather these last peppers, along with a few Roma tomatoes and other varieties. Some tomatoes are still green and may be used for fried green tomatoes with cornmeal, showing resourcefulness and a culinary spirit.
