The plan is to acquire additional tubs from a local feed store, where such containers are affordable, typically costing between two to five dollars. The gardener prefers plastic tubs used on ranches, especially the ones with bottoms cut off—originally used as water bowls for chickens but repurposed as planting containers with weed mats at the bottom. A small, bottomless container was also mentioned, suitable for growing peas or herbs.
Building and Arranging Garden Beds
In addition to pots and tubs, the gardener planned to assemble traditional planter boxes, which were neglected last year but are now slated for use. The aim was to set up everything efficiently—digging out a garden bed, laying weed mat, and preparing the soil—all in preparation for spring planting.
