Part 4/8:
As the demolition progressed, the site became a chaotic explosion of broken wood and debris. The worker described the scene as reminiscent of a bomb explosion, with shredded wood scattered everywhere. A significant part of the effort was dedicated to cleaning up—picking up scrap lumber, nails, and screws—most of which were embedded in the wood and difficult to remove. The challenge was compounded by the presence of numerous screws, made even more frustrating by the use of modern star-shaped screws, which are notoriously tough to extract.
