The world's largest battery manufacturer, CATL, is gearing up to begin production of its newly announced M3P batteries. It's important to note that M3P isn’t related to Tesla's Model 3 Performance; it’s a new type of battery chemistry designed to enhances energy density and performance. These batteries are reported to be 15% more energy-dense than Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries, which Tesla currently uses in its standard Model 3 variants.
