Part 4/9:
The owner of the car that Randev drove, Mahmoud, was at home when the incident occurred. Mahmoud had loaned his Tesla to his brother, who was using it for errands. Upon returning and noticing discrepancies in the vehicle's interior and location, Mahmoud checked the Tesla app and discovered that his car was being driven—by Randev.
Surprisingly, Mahmoud attempted to remotely lock his Tesla via the app but was unsuccessful. Nonetheless, he was able to track the vehicle's whereabouts and communicate with Randev, who confirmed he had been driving the car without realizing it wasn’t his own. Randev also found printed documents in Mahmoud's car that displayed his contact info, which may have facilitated the collision of their digital access.
