Hostage Release in Gaza Marks a Fractured Calm
After two years of turmoil and captivity, a tentative step toward peace has begun in Gaza. Early this morning, at 8:00 a.m. local time, the first phase of a much-anticipated hostage release was successfully executed. Seven hostages, held for exactly 737 days, were handed over to the International Red Cross before being escorted into Israeli territory. Around two hours later, an additional 13 hostages were released at Kununis, creating a wave of relief for families and observers alike.
