Part 2/11:
Pickax Mountain, situated just minutes from the well-known Natans nuclear site, has garnered attention for its clandestine and heavily fortified nature. Satellite images analyzed by The Washington Post reveal ongoing construction activities, particularly intensified since the June 22 US-led strikes that degraded Iran's main nuclear facilities.
This site is suspected to be a hidden nuclear complex—potentially a new covert uranium enrichment facility or a storage location for near-weapons-grade uranium. The installation's underground tunnels, extending approximately 260 to 330 feet beneath the surface—double the depth of Iran’s Fordo complex—render it highly resistant to air strikes and further complicate monitoring efforts.
