Part 15/17:
The Trial and Evidence
Over nearly three weeks, prosecutors presented a comprehensive case: phone logs, emails, bank records, surveillance footage, and forensic analysis established Ruth’s obsession with Trump and intent to harm. Ruth made at least 17 reconnaissance trips to a high-end golf course in West Palm Beach, culminating in the attack last September.
The critical evidence was a loaded SKS semi-automatic rifle discovered near the crime scene. DNA and fingerprint evidence linked Ruth to the weapon, and a manifesto mailed to acquaintances outlined a $150,000 incentive to complete the assassination—clear proof of his deadly intent.
