Part 2/9:
Alex Riven, co-CEO of the Executive Council of Australian Jury, expressed clear dismay at the event. He recounted the community's anxiety upon learning that a judge of the Supreme Court had overturned the decision by the Premier and police to prevent the march from taking place on a major national icon. This decision, Riven explained, was deeply concerning given the history of large gatherings in Sydney turning violent and the openly anti-Semitic rhetoric associated with this particular march. The organizers, the Palestine Action Group, openly support the destruction of Israel, which undermines any narratives claiming the march was about "humanity."
