More importantly, Bowen was seen to have quoted instantaneous or daily price figures that don’t accurately reflect the overall cost trends. For example, Bowen claimed that prices have fallen from around $300 per megawatt-hour to about $100 per megawatt-hour since the election. Yet, household power bills haven’t seen equivalent reductions; consumers are still paying roughly the same or even higher rates.
