Leading this movement is Shik Wadi Al-Jabari, head of one of Hebron’s most influential clans. The tribal leaders have signed a letter addressed to Israeli officials, denouncing the Palestinian Authority as corrupt and illegitimate. Instead, they propose a future rooted in tribal loyalty, local leadership, and cooperative economic and security arrangements with Israel. Significantly, they are willing to recognize Israel's Jewish identity openly—an act considered taboo under Hamas and Palestinian Authority principles.
