One of the most heartbreaking scenes was at Camp Mystic, a children’s summer camp where over 750 children had been staying when the floodwaters struck. The rescue operations were extensive, involving drones, helicopters, boats, high-water vehicles, and rescue divers. Over 160 rescues have been reported, with more than 850 people saved—many injured and still trapped in flooded areas.
