Part 9/12:
Amidst these mounting international tensions, U.S. immigration authorities have conducted a significant operation targeting Iranian nationals suspected of ties to terrorist groups. Over the weekend, ICE apprehended 11 Iranian individuals across eight states, including some with confirmed or suspected connections to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Hezbollah.
Among those detained was a former Iranian Army sniper carrying Iranian military ID, who entered the U.S. on a fiancé visa. Others had criminal histories including drug trafficking, firearm possession, and fraud. One individual on the terror watchlist was among those arrested, raising alarms about the potential presence of sleeper cells or operatives loyal to Iran within U.S. borders.
