Clarifying Israel’s Objectives

At the heart of recent military actions and strategic discussions lies a clear and focused objective: preventing Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon. From Israel’s perspective, the primary goal is to destroy Iran’s ability to produce a military nuclear capability, rather than regime change. While acknowledging that the regime may weaken as a consequence of their operations, Israeli officials emphasized that the effort does not include or aim for the toppling of Iran’s government. Instead, they believe that the decision to change the regime should be made by the Iranians themselves.
