Particularly in reference to opposition groups like the MEK, Ahmadore suggests they are capable of stepping into leadership roles if chaos ensues, especially if the current regime collapses. He envisions a coalition-driven transition where the opposition, backed covertly if necessary, could organize Iran’s economy and governance anew.
However, he remains realistic: "No opposition is strong enough today to invade and overthrow Iran militarily." Instead, he believes economic sanctions, internal unrest, and discontent within Iran’s middle class and security forces are the most plausible routes to change.
