Part 3/14:
Among the key strategic targets in Iran is the fortified nuclear site at Fordo, situated deep underground near Tehran. This site houses approximately 3,000 centrifuges for uranium enrichment, making it a critical component of Iran’s nuclear program. Due to its subterranean construction and heavy reinforcement, Fordo is notoriously difficult to strike. The U.S. possesses advanced munitions like the GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP), a 30,000-pound weapon designed specifically to demolish hardened bunkers. However, American aircraft capable of deploying the MOP, such as the B-2 stealth bomber or B-52, are not operationally available to Israel, necessitating that any direct attack involving the MOP would likely be executed by the U.S. directly.
