Bolter was traced through drone and canine searches in rural areas southwest of Minneapolis after a trail camera captured his image. He was found crawling through thick underbrush and was taken into custody without incident by a SWAT team. Bolter is accused of a pre-dawn attack on Saturday that targeted State Representative Melissa Hortman, the former Democratic House speaker, and her husband Mark, who both died at the scene, as well as shooting State Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Ivette. The Hoffmans’ daughter reportedly shielded her mother from the gunfire.
