The process involved manufacturing or preparing these drones outside Russia, then placing them inside clever concealments—specifically in the tops of shipping containers or similar enclosures. These containers were then transported across the border by Russian truck drivers, who were apparently paid to deliver them to predetermined points roughly 7 to 10 kilometers from key Russian air bases. Once at these locations, the containers' false roofs or coverings were opened, allowing the drones to fly out and proceed with their missions.
