The suspect, identified as 45-year-old Muhammad Sabri Solomon, approached the crowd with incendiary devices, shouting anti-Israel slogans. Video footage shows him approaching with containers in both hands before launching Molotov cocktails, which ignited and caused chaos. During the attack, Solomon himself accidentally set fire to his clothing and was engulfed in flames. He quickly dropped a bulletproof vest and collapsed, enduring injuries from the self-inflicted flames.
Eight civilians, ranging in age from 52 to 88, sustained injuries from burns and smoke inhalation; these injuries varied from minor to critical, but fortunately, no fatalities resulted. By the time police arrived, Solomon had been detained at the scene without resistance, mainly thanks to his self-immolation.
