In the ongoing discourse surrounding the Gaza crisis, some surprisingly prominent figures have proposed solutions that border on the fantastical. Among them is Bob Geldof, the musician and humanitarian known for organizing Band-Aid to aid famine-stricken Ethiopia. Recently, Geldof suggested an approach that many see as both naive and reckless: instructing Jewish civilians to load up their cars with sandwiches and drive into Gaza to feed the Palestinians directly.
