Europe's Additional Support to Ukraine Amid Rising Tensions
Despite these complications, the European Union has reaffirmed its commitment to Ukraine. On Monday, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced an additional €3.5 billion in financial aid to Kyiv, scheduled to arrive in March. This brings the EU's total aid (excluding military and humanitarian contributions) to up to €35 billion in 2025, aimed at bolstering Ukraine's resilience and pushing back against Russian aggression.
