Part 2/15:
On Friday evening, near the Brandenburg Gate at the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, authorities identified a brutal stabbing that left a 30-year-old Spanish man critically injured. The suspect, a 19-year-old Syrian refugee who arrived unaccompanied in Germany in 2023, approached from behind and stabbed the victim in the neck. The attack was severe enough to put the man into an artificial coma; however, he has since stabilized and is no longer in critical condition.
