Catholic Charities in Rio Grande Valley, for instance, saw arrivals plummet from over 3,000 in January to fewer than 12 daily, with projections indicating fewer than 350 migrants processed in February. Similar trends have been observed elsewhere, including the Annunciation House in El Paso, which has scaled down operations significantly, from more than 20 active shelters to just four, and the migrant population in their care has decreased markedly.
