The United Arab Emirates presidential adviser has described the idea of Hamas stepping down as both rational and necessary, stressing that Palestinian interests should surpass those of the militant group, especially given the destruction wrought by Hamas’s own actions. Saudi Arabia’s senior journalist, Tariq alad, argued that removing Hamas from leadership could help prevent further instability—particularly for neighboring Egypt and Jordan—and pave the way for peace and reconstruction efforts.
