Part 8/12:
Ukraine’s security agencies made a significant breakthrough with the arrest of a high-ranking official suspected of working as a Russian mole within the Ukrainian security apparatus. The suspect, whose identity remains undisclosed, was caught passing classified intelligence to Moscow’s Federal Security Service (FSB) in exchange for cash, with some reports suggesting ideological loyalty also played a role.
The anti-terrorist center led by Vasil Maluk, head of Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU), executed the operation after employing wiretaps, digital infiltration, and surveillance measures. The suspect, a former security official, communicated with Russian handlers at least 14 times, providing sensitive information that could jeopardize Ukraine’s defenses.
