Nearly 200 Venezuelans who entered the U.S. illegally were repatriated on Monday, marking a significant victory for the Trump administration’s efforts to curb illegal immigration.
The flights, operated by Venezuela’s state airline, departed from Fort Bliss, Texas, and landed in Caracas. This was the first such cooperation after years of diplomatic stalemate—Venezuela’s socialist government had persistently refused to accept deportees, despite Venezuelans flooding the southern U.S. border during the Biden administration.
