Part 2/11:
The next hostage release was scheduled for Saturday, February 15, when three Israeli captives, taken during Hamas's October 7 raids, were to be freed in exchange for Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails. This was part of a series of exchanges—so far, 16 Israeli hostages and over 730 Palestinian prisoners had been swapped, with 17 Israeli hostages still due for release in the initial ceasefire phase. However, Hamas's decision to suspend further releases indefinitely has thrown these negotiations into doubt.
