Part 7/14:
Inside: Opulence and Artistic Grandeur
Passing through the grand iron gates, visitors first encountered a circular entrance hall with a soaring domed ceiling, decorated in French Rococo style with white stucco reliefs and intricate plasterwork. A skylight above cast natural light onto Corinthian columns and elaborately paneled walls, creating a dramatic yet inviting atmosphere.
From here, the mansion opened into its main rooms, each resplendently decorated. The dining room boasted walls covered in luxurious stucco, with semi-reliefs of dancing maidens, botanicals, and pastoral scenes in the style of Fragonard or Boucher. Large mirrors reflected the glow of crystal chandeliers, amplifying the feeling of opulence.
