In the late 20th century, the mansion’s once-glorious façade was on the brink of destruction. By the early 1990s, the city considered demolishing the historic structure due to its dilapidation. His team undertook extensive restoration work, cleaning and repairing the stone façade, reconstructing missing woodwork, and restoring its former aesthetic grandeur.
