Part 10/11:
Modern-day Conservation and Public Engagement
Today, Cliff Palace and the other dwellings within Mesa Verde are protected and managed by the National Park Service. Careful restoration and ongoing maintenance ensure that visitors can appreciate its grandeur while safeguarding it against further deterioration.
Reconstructed features and stabilized walls allow visitors to envision what life might have been like for its ancient inhabitants. Educational programs and guided tours foster appreciation of Puebloan culture and their adaptive ingenuity.
