But his ambitions didn’t stop at automobiles. During the early 1920s, Anthony ventured into radio broadcasting. Operating from a modest setup in his kitchen, he crafted a 50-watt transmitter and established KFI-AM, which grew into one of Los Angeles' most powerful radio stations, broadcasting at 50,000 watts. He also initiated early FM radio and helped develop one of the city’s first television stations, KCAL-TV (originally KFI-TV). By the mid-1920s, Anthony was a prominent figure in the broadcasting industry and served as president of the National Broadcasters Association.
