Part 8/22:
Hawaii’s oldest home is the "Ka Hail Lā`au" built in 1821 in Honolulu. An original New England-style frame house, it was shipped from Boston and assembled in Hawaii. Its role as a shared residence, school, and church underscores Hawaii’s early missionary history and colonial interactions. It also housed the first printing press in Hawaii.

Constructed in 1863 in Boise, the O’Farrell Cabin was a humble log structure that housed pioneers. Despite its small size, it was the home of John and Mary O’Farrell, who raised 14 children there, exemplifying frontier resilience.
