Part 2/12:
Born in 1872 in California, Addison Mizner's journey into architecture was anything but conventional. Traveling extensively during his youth—ranging from Central American courthouses where his father served as a diplomat to the gold fields of Yukon—Mizner was exposed to diverse architectural styles and cultures. Despite not completing formal university education, he apprenticed under a San Francisco architect and demonstrated a keen talent for watercolor painting and illustration.
