Part 7/15:
Inside, the mansion reflected Marmillion's grandeur ambitions. Instead of the typical central hall layout common to plantation homes, the house was designed with open rooms and integrated indoor bathrooms, a luxury at the time. The interior was lavishly decorated, featuring hand-painted murals of flowers, birds, and angels on the ceilings—believed to have been created by talented artisans, possibly by the New Orleans artist Dominique Canova.
