Part 6/12:
Renowned architect Wilson Aire from Philadelphia was commissioned to craft a luxurious residence atop a high hill, offering panoramic views of Cold Spring Harbor and the Long Island Sound. Completed in 1907, the estate was named Rosemarie Farm in honor of Conklin’s young daughter, Rosmarie. The mansion was a sprawling, red brick Georgian-style palace—some 30 rooms filled with European-imported artifacts like Italian marble doors and Portuguese church organs. The interiors radiated elegance and cultural richness, setting a tone of aristocratic grandeur.
