Part 3/19:
Families, many new to camping and outdoor adventures, turned to RVs as an alternative to crowded travel and public transportation. Manufacturers rapidly scaled up, adding night shifts and expanding facilities to meet this surging demand. However, the party was always bound to end. As restrictions eased and conventional travel resumed, the enthusiasm waned. Many buyers who had rushed into the market to escape restrictions suddenly found their interest cooling, leaving inventory in limbo.
Meanwhile, builders and manufacturers, hungry to keep production going, hurried to fulfill deadlines, often resorting to shortcuts like cheaper materials and flimsy construction. This quick-and-cheap approach, once seen as temporary, is now haunting owners facing repair costs and declining resale values.
