Hearst didn’t stop at a single grand estate—his obsession with creating a fairytale world led to additional constructions. He purchased other castles, such as Beacon Towers on Long Island, and constructed elaborate structures like the Southern California compound. His mistresses received lavish gifts, notably a custom-built 110-room mansion at Santa Monica beach with 55 bathrooms, numerous guest wings, and a plethora of whimsical details like a Cinderella-themed villa.
This seaside mansion was a social hub, hosting Hollywood’s elite and offering spectacular ocean views from grand staircases and open terraces. Its interiors featured wood-paneled libraries, glittering gold accents, and expansive ballrooms designed for star-studded parties.
