Part 8/12:
Under the new laws, women are forbidden from raising their voices in public, reciting the Quran publicly, interacting freely with men outside their immediate family, and even laughing in public. The dress code has been strictly enforced, mandating that women cover their lower faces along with wearing headscarves, with any violations punishable by arrest, physical punishment, or worse. Fridays, a sacred day for Muslim worship, have become tense zones as morality police patrol streets, rounding up women and accusing them of obstructing men on their way to prayer.
