The upheavals of the French Revolution further disrupted its destiny. The Palace was confiscated and sold as "national property" in 1798, passing through various owners. In the early 19th century, Marshal Jean Lannes owned the estate and carried out partial restorations, including transforming part of the grounds into a riding stable capable of housing 32 horses. Later, in 1818, the mansion was purchased by Parisian banker Jacques Lavit, who developed the surrounding park into building plots, leading to the destruction of some of its former stabling structures.
