Over a third of Oregon's counties have now voted to secede from the state and join Idaho, a movement collectively known as the Greater Idaho Movement. Currently, 13 out of 36 counties have approved measures supporting separation, motivated by a shared belief that their values and interests are increasingly underrepresented in the Oregon legislature, which is heavily controlled by liberal policymakers from Portland.
