Part 3/14:
Remarkably, human life expectancy has doubled over the past 200 years, a testament to scientific and medical progress. Yet, aging remains the primary risk factor for many diseases—including cancer, cardiovascular diseases, dementia, and infectious illnesses. Economists estimate that if humanity could slow down aging even by a single year, the economic impact could be a staggering $38 trillion—a clear indicator of the enormous benefits associated with healthier aging.
By maintaining our biological youth, we could not only live longer but also enjoy more active and fulfilling lives—spending more quality time with loved ones, engaging in hobbies, and contributing to society. In essence, extending healthspan has the potential to inaugurate a new era of human flourishing.
