Imagine walking through a virtual mall or participating in a shared gaming session. For the experience to feel authentic, environments must be rendered in real-time—not as static images but responding instantaneously to user actions.
Similarly, for the Metaverse to feel shared and collaborative, experiences must be synchronous. Just like a video call, multiple users need to coexist and interact without noticeable lag or dissonance.
Persistence and Data Continuity
An essential quality of the Metaverse is persistence—virtual environments and histories do not reset or forget past interactions. For example, if you build or modify something in the virtual world, that change should remain unless deliberately altered.
